Gardaí appeal for witnesses after serious assault in Ballaghaderreen in early hours of New Year's Day
An incident room has been established at Castlerea Garda station following an assault in Ballaghaderreen.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault in Ballaghaderreen in the early hours of Thursday, January 1st.
The incident occurred on Barrack Street at around 1 a.m..
A male, aged in his 30s, was brought to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, where he remains in a critical condition.
A senior investigating officer has been appointed and an incident room has been established at Castlerea Garda Station.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.
Anyone who was in the vicinity of Barrack Street between 12.45 a.m. and 1.15 a.m. on January 1st and who may have video footage (including dash-cam) is asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
