Gardaí appeal for witnesses following collision in County Galway
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in County Galway on Tuesday, March 31st.
At around 8 p.m., Gardaí and emergency services responded to a collision involving a car and a pedal cyclist at Claregalway on the N83 (formerly the N17).
The cyclist — a male juvenile in his teens — was brought by ambulance to University Hospital Galway, where he is being treated for serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
A technical examination of the scene was carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since fully reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage between Loughgeorge and Claregalway between 8 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
