Roscommon father and son team up for county final duty in Leitrim

Paul Martin, who took charge of last Sunday's Leitrim intermediate football final, on duty alongside his father Seán in Heartland Credit Union Páirc Seán MacDiarmada.

Like father, like son.

Keadue native Paul Martin followed in the footsteps of his father Seán by taking charge of a big GAA match last weekend.

Martin, who is the treasurer of St. Ronan’s GAA Club, took charge of the Leitrim intermediate football final between Annaduff and St. Patrick’s Dromahair at Heartland Credit Union Páirc Seán MacDiarmada.

His team of officials included his father Seán who is a former referee and referees’ assessor. His has also served as Connacht Council delegate for Roscommon GAA.

St. Ronan’s GAA Club described Seán — a former chairperson — and Paul as “dedicated clubmen”, adding that it was a “proud day” for the Martin family in the home of Leitrim GAA on Sunday last.
