Glinsk backs its own
The ballot boxes were opened just after 9 a.m. this morning.
Michael Fitzmaurice’s home of Glinsk has emphatically backed its local TD.
According to the Glinsk tally, the Independent Ireland TD received 371 votes, streets ahead of his rivals.
Dr Martin Daly received 42 votes, with Claire Kerane getting 24, continuing with their impressive performance.
Senator Aisling Dolan received 19 votes with Senator Eugene Murphy five.
In a Ballygar box earlier this morning, Dr Daly was similiarly endorsed with 239 votes.
