Hundreds of homes across the county without power

ESB Networks says  crews are working on faults and trying to restore power as soon as possible.

Several hundred homes across the county are without power this afternoon as a result of Storm Ashley.

Power outages have been reported in the Castlerea, Ballaghaderreen, Boyle, Roosky and Glenamaddy areas. Glenamaddy is one of the worst affected areas with 903 customers currently without power.

ESB Networks says that its crews are working on faults and trying to restore power as soon as possible.

There is a Status Yellow wind warning currently in place until 3 a.m. tomorrow across County Roscommon while seven counties, including Leitrim, have a Status Orange wind warning until 8 p.m..
