Local gardaí unveil latest speed detection device

The gardaí unveil their new fleet to tackle speeding.

Local gardaí have unveiled their latest crime fighting initiative.

Laois & Offaly Roads Policing Units said they are proud to unveil the latest in “Stealth-Pasture” technology.

“While some motorists are relying on certain apps to dodge our checkpoint, we’ve taken a more local approach,” they said. “Blending seamlessly into the rural landscapes, these units are capable of monitoring speed, detecting offences, and standing perfectly still for suspiciously long periods of time.” Rejecting accusations of being “cheesy, gardaí said they are trained to remain completely and udderly invisible until it’s too late.

“A word to rural speeders: If a cow is staring directly at you, you may already be under observation. If it has a slight blue glow, you’re at serious risk of a ticket.”
