Man airlifted to hospital following serious assault in the county

Roscommon Gardaí are investigating a serious assault in the county town that happened yesterday, Sunday, 23rd March.

A male, aged in his 50s, was airlifted to University Hospital Galway for the treatment of serious injuries.

Earlier today, Gardaí were preserving a scene in Church Street, Roscommon Town, and investigations are ongoing, Gardaí said.
