Motorist arrested on suspicion of drug driving

Roscommon Gardaí have arrested a motorist on suspicion of drug driving.

Local Gardaí said on social media that the Roscommon Roads Policing Unit were on patrol when they observed a vehicle committing a road traffic offence.

The car was stopped and the driver subsequently failed the oral fluid roadside test, testing positive for cocaine, opiates and benzodiazepines. The driver was arrested and court proceedings are to follow.
