New pub opening this weekend
The opening is taking place on Friday, March 7th.
A new pub in Carrick-on-Shannon will officially open its doors this weekend.
Nellie's Bar is situated at the former Anchorage public house on the corner of Bridge Street and Quay Road in the county town with the opening night taking place this Friday, March 7th from 5 p.m..
To mark the occasion live music by Mr Yakety Yak will kick off at 8 p.m.. There has been an outpouring of good wishes on social media for the new business with one well-wisher describing it as “one of the nicest pubs in the west of Ireland.”
