Number of redundancies confirmed at Athlone firm
It is believed that 13 jobs have been lost at the BOC Homecare firm in Athlone.
A company involved in the delivery of medical oxygen to patients in their own homes has confirmed a number of redundancies at its firm in Athlone.
BOC Homecare, based at the Blyry Industrial and Commercial Park, confirmed that due to the HSE's decision not to renew its contract with BOC, roles at the Athlone site had been made redundant.
“Alternative employment within BOC was offered where possible but ultimately, where alternatives were not available, redundancies were made,” said the company in a statement.
It is understood that the redundancies will result in the loss of approximately 13 jobs.
