Pass rates at Roscommon’s driving test centre among the lowest in the country

Pass rates at Roscommon’s driving test centre are among the lowest in the country, according to the latest statistics.

Figures for May of this year have revealed that 44.2% of Category-B driving tests were passed at the county’s driving test centre.

This ranked the ninth lowest in pass percentages out of the 58 centres with data available nationwide.

There was a steep drop in pass rates when compared to April when a 62.2% pass rate was reported.

A total of 173 tests were carried out in May, the highest carried out in a month since last November when 213 tests were undertaken.

A further seven were abandoned/not conducted and there was one no-show for the month.

In comparison, the figures show Carrick-on-Shannon had a pass rate of 53.7% out of 213 tests and Athlone a pass rate of 47.5% out of 325 tests.
