A popular County Roscommon business has closed to the public as the owners have decided to retire after over 30 years of trading.

Tullyboy Farm at Croghan in North Roscommon has been operational since 1992.

Over the decades the pet farm became extremely popular with families as Matt and Eilín O’Dowd and their family guided visitors around their working farm.

Matt’s tractor pulled farm train was also extremely popular at shows around the county.

In recent years, the farm had become a popular destination for hen parties.

Following their announcement to retire from business dozens or people took to social media to wish them well and recall many happy memories made during visits to the farm.

“We are taking it a bit easier and have retired from tourism after over 30 years of meeting and enjoying so many fabulous customers. Thank you so much for all the laughs and fun and for your support down through generations of families,” said the O’Dowds.
