A popular County Roscommon hair salon is to close its doors after only six years.
Silke Hair Studio, based in Castlerea, said it would be closing down as a direct result of a significant increase in its rent, leaving them with no choice but to shut its doors.
“We have had the best six years with all our fantastic clients, building friendships, sharing fun times and laughter and great hair. We want to say a massive thank you to you all for being a part of our amazing times,” said Michelle, Olivia, Fiona, Anne and Thomas in a post on Facebook.
“We will be closing our doors on Saturday, July 4th. All appointments before this date will be honoured and we will be in touch with clients in the coming days who have appointments after this date.
“We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts,” concluded the statement.
