Roscommon County Council lodges plans for 51 new houses

Roscommon County Council has lodged plans for the construction of 51 houses in South Roscommon.

The proposed development will be situated at Sli An Choiste, Monksland and will comprise a mix of three and two bed housing, involving detached, semi-detached and terraced homes.
The Part 8 plans also comprise the widening of the existing site entrance, construction of access roads, footpaths and cycle paths, public and private open spaces, car parking spaces and electric car charging points.
The five-acre Monksland site is adjacent to the existing Slí an Coiste housing estate.
It is envisaged that construction of the new homes will take approximately 12 months.
The housing plans have gone on public display at Aras an Chontae and the Athlone Municipal Office on the Old Tuam Road in Monksland. They can also be viewed online on the Roscommon County Council website.
A submission or observation on the proposed development can be made in writing or via email to the council before 4 p.m. on February 13th next.
