Roscommon Gardaí issue fines for illegal parking in disabled bays

Gardaí in Roscommon have again warned motorists not to illegally park in disabled bays.
In a post on social media today, Roscommon Gardaí said they were on patrol in Roscommon Town last week when they found a jeep and trailer parked over two disabled parking spots.
“The driver was issued a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice. Please leave these spaces clear for those who need them,” they said.
It is against the law to park a vehicle in a disabled spot without a valid parking permit. Those caught doing so can receive a parking fine of €150 which increases to €225 if not paid within 28 days.
