Six new faces on Roscommon County Council as all 18 seats are filled

There will be six new faces on Roscommon County Council when the first council meets.
Following a recount in the Boyle Local Electoral Area on Monday the final three seats on the council were filled by Sean Moylan (FF), Tom Crosby (IND) and Liam Callaghan (FG).
The twelve sitting councillors seeking re-election have now all been returned with the six remaining seats left vacant by retiring councillors now being filled by Domnick Connolly (FG) in the Athlone LEA; Leah Cull (SF), Michael Frain (IND), and Sean Moylan (FF) in the Boyle LEA and Gareth Scahill (FG) and Larry Brennan (FF) in the Roscommon LEA.
The six retiring councillors were: Donal Kilduff (IND), Athlone area; Orla Leyden (FF) and Kathleen Shanagher (IND) in the Roscommon area and John Cummins (FF), Michael Mulligan (SF) and Joe Murphy, Boyle LEA.
