Snap, one of Ireland’s leading names in design, print, branding, and marketing solutions, has established a facility in Monksland after acquiring the long established Athlone firm, Midland Print & Signs.
Founded by Aengus and Lisa O’Rourke in 2004, Midland Print & Signs has served the Midlands business community for over two decades from its Pearse Street premises in Athlone.
The business, known for its quality, reliability and customer care ceased trading at this location as of today, Friday, August 29th.
Services are now operating under the Snap Midlands banner at a larger, modern facility in Monksland Business Park.
Speaking about the sale, Aengus said: “Lisa and I are incredibly proud of the business we have built and the relationships we have developed over the years. We are very grateful to our loyal customers and the local community for their support. Selling to Snap, a national and international brand with a strong reputation, gives us great confidence in the future of the business.
Sean Murray, CEO Snap Ireland, since 2017, said the acquisition marks “yet another key step in expanding the company’s network, bringing high-quality creative and production services across Ireland”.
“We’re thrilled to expand our footprint into the Midlands,” he said. “This region is full of dynamic, growing businesses and we’re excited to support their success with our full suite of branding and marketing services. We’re grateful to Aengus and Lisa O’Rourke for the strong foundations they’ve built.”
Aengus wished the Snap team well, saying he had “no doubt” they would build on the firm’s strong customer base and trusted reputation, continuing to provide value and service to local businesses.
