The current fixed charge notice for a speeding offence is €160 fine accompanied by three penalty points.

The static speed safety camera systems in place on the N17 (Mayo) and N59 (Galway), will go operational tomorrow, Friday, December 13th.

Vehicles detected driving in excess of the 100km/h speed limit will be subject to prosecution from tomorrow.
