Traffic calming measures to be installed on County Roscommon road

New traffic calming measures will be installed in Mockmoyne.
Cllr Sean Moylan has announced in a statement that traffic calming measures for Mockmoyne, on the Gurteen road into Boyle, will be implemented in the coming days.
The new measures will include two speed ramps, which will aim curtail the persistent speeding on the road.
In his statement Cllr Moylan said, "I'm really pleased that the long awaited traffic calming measures will be installed in Mockmoyne over the next few days. The traffic speed on the Gurteen road into Boyle has been a long-standing problem particularly for the residents of Mockmoyne.
"There will be some inconvenience during this construction but it will be short lived," he added.
The Fianna Fáil councillor thanked Roscommon County Council for delivering the project and Cllr Leah Cull was also commended for her efforts over the past 14 months to deliver the new traffic calming measures.
