Tributes paid on passing of 100-year-old ‘Young Tom’

Tributes have been paid to the late Tom Mulry from Jamestown, Ballyforan, who passed away peacefully on Monday at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He recently celebrated his 100th birthday.
Among the many tributes, Four Roads Hurling club said it was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Thomas "Young Tom" Mulry.
“From a family with a rich hurling heritage, Tom was a beloved figure in the GAA community in Four Roads, and he recently celebrated his 100th birthday.
"Tom and his wife Phyllis have made a massive contribution to Four Roads HC through their sons and grandchildren, who have featured prominently on many Four Roads teams.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time. Rest in peace,” said the club.
Mr Mulry is predeceased by his parents Tom and Kate, and his sisters Rose Kelly, Mary Griffin, Kitty Cormican, Sr. Carmelita and Peggy Kelly.
He will be sadly missed by his devoted wife of 65 years Phyllis, sons Dominic (Meath), Frank, Mark, Joseph, Brian (Galway), Raymond and Aidan, daughters Mary (Ennis), and Grace (Galway), daughters-in-law Margaret, Angela, Geraldine, Maura, Martina and Linda, sons-in-law Eugene and Lorcán, his grandchildren Eamonn, Maireád, Conor, Brendan, Rory, Gráinne, Aisling, Aoife, Orna, Cora, Ceara, Cormac, Eoghan, Áine, Seán, Rían, Ėabha, Caomhán, Aifric, MacDara, Lochlann, Muireann, Culann, Senan, and Emlyn, his brother Joe, sister Teresa Mulligan, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
He will be laid to rest this morning, Wednesday, in Tisrara cemetery following 11.30 a.m. funeral mass at the Church of Christ the Good Shepard, Four Roads.
