A van driver has been fined after a van was found parked across two disabled parking bays in Roscommon Town recently.
Roscommon Roads Policing Unit was on patrol in Roscommon Town when they discovered the van parked across two different disabled bays near The Square in the town.
A fixed charge penalty notice was issued to the driver.
An Garda Síochána is reminding road users to leave disabled parking bays clear for those who need them.
Meanwhile, Gardaí in Sligo have clocked a motorist travelling 161km per hour in a 100 km zone.
It was sub subsequently discovered that the motorist was disqualified from driving.
