Video shows attack by youths in broad daylight in Roscommon

Video footage circulating widely online shows a vicious attack being carried out by several youths on a group of other young people in Roscommon Town.
The video shows a number of youths, some hooded, approaching the group before acting violently.
Some of those involved were hit forcefully with hurleys in a sustained assault.
A number of punches were also thrown during the altercation in broad daylight.
It’s believed the violent incident took place near Roscommon Castle.
Gardaí said they received no reports of any such incident.
