Homes in Ballymoe are experiencing a disruption to their water supply this morning, Sunday, due to an overnight pump failure.
Uisce Éireann crews are currently on site working to restore normal water supply. Every effort is being made to get the system back up and running and return water to customers as soon as we can.
Providing an update, Ger Greally of Uisce Éireann said: “We understand how disruptive it is to wake up and find that your water supply has been interrupted, particularly on a Sunday when families are going about their weekend.
“Our crews have been working since early this morning to resolve the issue and restore water to the community as quickly as possible. We hope to have a normal supply restored later this evening.
“We really appreciate the patience and understanding shown by customers while these repairs are being carried out.
"We understand that a water outage can be more than an inconvenience for customers who rely on a continuous water supply for medical reasons. Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
"We are committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channelâ¯@IWCareâ¯and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.," she said.
