Westmeath winner collects €6.24m Lotto jackpot

A Westmeath Lotto player who collected the €6,241,505 jackpot won in the December 3rd draw said “it still feels like a dream”.

While sitting in the Winners Room in Lottery HQ, the winner, who bought the magic ticket at Eason’s in Pearse Street, Mullingar, said: "Would you believe that I can actually count on one hand the number of times that I have played Lotto this year?

"I wouldn’t be a regular player, and last Wednesday was my third time to play the game this year. I just picked up a ticket when I was out and about and sure look, here I am now!"

Ireland’s newest Lotto jackpot winner was eager to hand over the ticket to the claims team and is busy thinking about what to do next.

“A Mediterranean cruise has always been the dream so that’s top of my list. Sun, sea and sand definitely sounds good right about now!” 

The Westmeath winner has officially taken the title of the 26th National Lottery millionaire of 2025, as well as the 5th highest prize won so far this year.

MILLIONAIRE RAFFLE 

On New Year’s Eve, another winner is guaranteed to end their year by also joining the highly coveted list of National Lottery millionaires for 2025.

The Millionaire Raffle, which will mark the final National Lottery draw of 2025, has an incredible 8,500 prizes up for grabs, including the top prize of €1 million.
