People urged to work from home as orange and yellow rain warnings continue

- Dublin, Wicklow, Waterford, and Louth are under a status orange rain warning
- Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Tipperary, Cavan, Monaghan, Meath, Antrim, Armagh, Down, Tyrone, and Derry are under a status yellow rain warning
- The National Emergency Coordination Group is urging those who can work from home to do so
People are being urged to work from home, and transport services are being affected as bad weather continues.
Dublin, Wicklow, Waterford, and Louth are currently under a status orange rain warning.
Waterford's will expire at 9am, Dublin and Wicklow's at 3pm, and Louth's at 6pm.
Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, and Tipperary are under a status yellow rain warning until 9am, while Cavan, Monaghan, and Meath will be under a yellow warning until 6pm.
In the North, Antrim, Armagh, Down, Tyrone, and Derry are under a yellow rain warning until midnight.
Met Éireann said there is a risk of localised flooding, river flooding, and difficult travel conditions.
The National Emergency Coordination Group said those in the impacted counties, who are able to work from home on Friday, are urged to do so in order to free up roads for essential services.
The weather is continuing to impact rail services after flooding along parts of the network on Thursday.
The Dublin to Rosslare line is closed between Greystones and Kilcoole due to debris on the line, and between Enniscorthy and Wexford due to flooding.
The DART is operating between Greystones and Howth, with delays through Seapoint.
Meanwhile DART and Northern Commuter services are suspended between Malahide and Howth Junction because of a mechanical fault on a maintenance vehicle.
A number of Bus Éireann routes have also been cancelled.
