Back to back wins for Roscommon

The Roscommon team that defeated Louth to pick up their second straight win in the All Ireland Premier Junior Camogie Championship.
Roscommon secured their second straight win in the All Ireland Premier Junior Camogie Championship as they defeated Louth 5-27 to 1-6.
Aided by a hat trick of goals from Rachel Fitzmaurice, Roscommon powered through to back up their win against Wicklow last time out.
Roscommon started quick with a pair of Sarah Dooley points while Fitzmaurice bagged her opening goal of the game during the first quarter to power her side in front. The winners continued to highlight their superiority as Tara Naughton proved accurate from the dead ball.
Fitzmaurice struck again twice more before the break as Louth struggled with Roscommon’s pace and energy.
The winners led 3-13 to 0-4 at half time and continued to trouble the scoreboard regularly after the interval.
Naughton bagged the opening score of the second half as she rifled a free to the net. Fitzmaurice, who finished with 3-8 kept the scoreboard moving before Ciara Kilcommins raided for her side’s fifth goal.
Roscommon were able to use their bench to keep Louth on the back foot. Hannah Murray slotted over while Sarah Dooley, who finished with 0-9, continued to torment Louth.
Grace Jones got in on the scoring act before Fitzmaurice fittingly rounded out the scoring.
Roscommon face Tyrone at home next Saturday in their final group game knowing a win or draw would see them through to an All Ireland semi finals.
