A County Roscommon native will lead his team into Croke Park on Sunday, hoping to guide them to All-Ireland glory.

Michael Glaveys native, Paul Coggins, is in charge of the London junior team who will play USGAA — combining players from clubs in Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco and Boston — in Sunday’s All-Ireland junior football final at GAA headquarters (throw-in at 1.45 p.m.).

London finally got the better of New York, 0-15 to 0-13, in Friday evening’s semi-final at Abbotstown. It was sweet revenge for Coggins and his team who had been beaten by the same opposition by a point in the finals of 2024 and 2025.

The game required extra time, but London came good to secure their place in the final where they will be looking for their first All-Ireland junior title since 1986.

Coggins, from Granlahan, is no stranger to managing London teams, leading the London senior footballers to a first Connacht final appearance against Mayo in 2013.
