GAA+ have issued an apology to their subscribers over issues experienced during the broadcaster’s coverage of Roscommon’s Connacht SFC quarter final against New York.

In an email to individuals who had purchased the game, GAA+ explained that the outage arose due to the broadband failing within the grounds. The interruption continued as staff worked to find a reliable connection to ensure the stream could continue.

Roscommon romped to a 5-22 to 1-10 victory at Gaelic Park in what was the second game that GAA+ had broadcast this season, the first being Mayo’s 0-31 to 1-15 victory over London.

In a statement GAA+ apologised for the issues experienced.

“We are reaching out to you to offer our sincere apologies for the poor quality of service that we provided to you in yesterday's Connacht championship game from New York.

“We pride ourselves on offering a service that is constantly striving to improve year on year, and this was not reflected on Sunday evening.

“Unfortunately, the broadband connection at the ground in Gaelic Park failed, and it took some time to achieve a stable backup feed. The coverage fell short of the standards we set for ourselves, and for this we apologise.

“We hope you will stick with us and look forward to better days ahead together throughout Championship 2026.”
