A Roscommon footballer has been nominated for the Electric Ireland Player of the Week.
Sam Hannon is one of three players shortlisted after the Roscommon Gaels man excelled in a dramatic All Ireland quarter final with Louth.
Hannon kicked 0-6 which included a pair of two-pointers as Roscommon set up an All Ireland semi final with Tyrone.
Kerry’s Ben Kelliher, who kicked five points in his side’s win over Cavan and Dara Flanagan of Mayo, who scored 1-3 against Offaly are also nominated for the award.
Roscommon’s John Price was previously named Electric Ireland Player of the Week after producing a Man of the Match display against Mayo in the Connacht final.
