One of Roscommon’s key forwards is winning her battle to be fit for Saturday week’s Lidl LGFA Division Three League final against Clare in Birr.
Boyle forward Aisling Feely hasn’t featured for the Roscommon intermediate ladies’ football team since she picked up a knee injury during the draw against Clare in Cusack Park, Ennis, in mid-February.
However, her injury wasn’t as serious as first feared and Feely, one of the team’s most prolific attackers, is in line to play some part in Saturday week’s final against the Banner ladies at Grant Heating St. Brendan’s Park, which will throw in at 4 p.m..
Captain Niamh Feeney is likely to miss the game after dislocating her shoulder in training a few weeks ago, while Caoimhe Lennon, Róise Lennon, Orla O’Neill and Millie Hagan are nursing long-term injuries and won’t be available for the final.
