Three Roscommon senior footballers have been picked on three different Gaelic football Dream Teams of current players by pundits on a popular GAA podcast.

The teams, picked by Paddy Andrews, James O’Donoghue and host Tommy Rooney for The Football Pod on Off The Ball, included Roscommon goalkeeper Conor Carroll alongside forwards Enda Smith and Ben O’Carroll.

The teams, which were chosen for this week’s show, couldn’t include more than one player from any county.

Carroll was chosen by former Dublin footballer Paddy Andrews. The Oranmore-Maree player has made the Roscommon Number One jersey his own under manager Davy Burke and was one of three nominees for Young Footballer of the Year last season.

Former Kerry forward James O’Donoghue plumped for Roscommon’s first All-Star since 2001, Enda Smith, in his half-forward line, while host Tommy Rooney went for Ben O’Carroll in his full-forward line, merely highlighting a wonderful 2023 for the Roscommon and St. Brigid’s star.
