Strokestown learn All Ireland semi final opponents
Shane McGinley and his Strokestown team-mates have an All Ireland semi final against Glenullin to look forward to next month.
Strokestown have learned who they will face in the All Ireland intermediate semi final.
Pearse McGinley’s men will play Glenullin after the Derry side overcame Cavan’s Cuchulainn by 3-15 to 0-19 in the Ulster intermediate final.
Glenullin celebrated their 100 year anniversary in perfect fashion as Neil McNicholl kicked 1-5 in an exciting Ulster final.
Former Derry footballer Eoin Bradley came off the bench to kick 1-3 while former Derry minor captain Ryan McNicholl bagged 1-2 in their provincial final victory.
Strokestown secured their first provincial title at adult level last month as they defeated Kilmeena by 4-11 to 0-14 at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park.
The All Ireland semi final is scheduled for the weekend of January 3/4.
