Flooring Porter produced a devastating display of front-running to record a superb win today, Wednesday, in the Guinness Kerry National at a packed Listowel racecourse.

The nine-year-old is owned by Ned Hogarty, father and son Alan and Tommy Sweeney from Pádraig Pearses country, and Alan’s uncle, Kerril Creaven.

In a strong field, the Gavin Cromwell-trained 6-1 chance dominated the race from the start to finish.

Piloted by Keith Donoghue, the runaway victory ensures another remarkable achievement for a horse purchased for only €5,000 in 2018.

In 2022, Flooring Porter joined the likes of fellow Roscommon horse Montelado, Tiger Roll and Dawn Run in winning two races at the famed mecca of National Hunt racing.
