A County Roscommon player will hit a major milestone in his career when he lines out for the 200th time for his province this weekend.

Jack Carty has been named at out-half in the Connacht team to face Saracens in the Investec Champions Cup on Saturday (tomorrow) in London at 1 p.m..

The Ballymore native from Kiltoom in South Roscommon will follow in the footsteps of John Muldoon, Michael Swift, Denis Buckley, Kieran Marmion and Tiernan O’Halloran, becoming the sixth player to play 200 times for the western province.

The team also features Brideswell native Darragh Murray, while former Creggs player, Denis Buckley, is among the replacements.

Connacht suffered a bruising 41-5 defeat against Bordeaux-Begles in the opening round of the Champions Cup last weekend.
