Roscommon girls savour Gaynor Shield success
The RDYSL U-14 girls' team and management that won the Gaynor Shield in Limerick on Friday afternoon.
The Roscommon and District Youth Schoolboys/girls League U-14 girls’ team have won the Gaynor Shield in Limerick.
Charlie Stephens’ 27th superb minute goal was enough for Padraic Clarke’s side to prevail 1-0 against Derry.
After the group stages, Roscommon were grouped in the shield competition, and a 1-0 win against North Tipperary — thanks to a goal from Robyn Brooks — procured a place in Friday’s final.
