A wonderstrike from Roscommon player Ava Hogan in the 2025 Gaynor Cup in Limerick is among the six nominations for goal of the tournament.
Ava was a member of the Roscommon and District Youth League’s girls team which featured in what is the country's premier U-14 girls soccer competition.
It’s been a memorable tournament for the Skyvalley Rovers FC player who also came second overall in the tournament's scoring charts with five goals.
The goal of the tournament winner will be announced next week and Ava's super strike will surely be among the favourites.
It was also a memorable tournament for her team who finished fourth in the Gaynor Cup, the county’s best-ever finish in the prestigious competition held annually.
