A Roscommon native is a key member of the Cuala management team which has plotted the Dublin club's journey to the All-Ireland SFC final on Sunday at Croke Park.
Knockcroghery man Gerry Killion has been involved in coaching at the Dalkey based club for more than twenty years.
He has coached at different grades over this time and has been involved with the club’s senior football team for the last five years.
From Gailey just outside Knockcroghery village, Gerry retired last year as vice-principal of Sion Hall secondary school in Blackrock.

Cuala, managed by former Mayo player Austin O’Malley, and Sunday's opponents, Errigal Ciarán from Tyrone, will both be looking to win their first ever SFC club title when they meet in Croke Park.

The Dublin team, who defeated Sligo’s Coolera-Strandhill in the semi-final, has already won All-Ireland senior hurling titles, winning successive honours in 2017 and 2018.
Paddy Neilan from St. Faithleach’s GAA Club will take charge of the football final which gets underway at 3.40 p.m..
