WILLIAMSTOWN

Community Garden, Kilnalag

As part of the ongoing Williamstown Pride of Place 2024 Campaign, members of the community are invited to donate a shrub or plant or flower for planting in the Green Area at Kilnalag Crossroads, where a community garden is being developed. There has already been a very positive response to this initiative. In the case of those who would like to be involved but don’t have a suitable plant to give, a small donation would be equally welcome. This project is entirely in keeping with the Pride of Place ethos.

PRIDE OF PLACE

Following the acceptance of the invitation from Galway County Council, the Williamstown Pride of Place 2024 Campaign is currently in full swing.

A Pride of Place meeting has been arranged for tonight, Tuesday, July 9th at 9 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

CONGRATULATIONS

Well done to Williamstown GAA Club on their recently announced development plan. It shows the members to be visionary, far-seeing and dynamic, and the initiative deserves all the support which it will undoubtedly get. Sincere sympathy to the family, relatives and friends of John O’Mahony, former manager of the Galway Football team, with whom all shared memorable occasions in Williamstown in both 1998 and 2001, following the All Ireland successes of those years. RIP John.
