County Roscommon athletes did fantastically well over the weekend at an All Ireland event. Roscommon teenagers Emily Clyne, Emily Gately, and Nathan Hoban all medalled at the 123. ie National Juvenile Track and Field Championships in Tullamore.

It was another fantastic day of sport and achievement for the county’s athletes on Sunday last. Approximately 450 children and teenagers took part in the 2026 Longford, Roscommon & Westmeath Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

The rising stars of Irish athletics were celebrated at the 2025 Juvenile All-Star Awards, held at the Mullingar Park Hotel on April 18th. County Roscommon athlete Emily Clyne was awarded the honour for her county.

The awards reflect the nationwide strength and diversity of talent within Irish athletics.

Athletes from across the province — including a strong contingent from County Roscommon — delivered outstanding performances at the recent Connacht Indoor Championships in Athlone.
