Fundraising appeal for victim of alleged Ballagh assault

A fundraising appeal set up to help cover the repatriation and funeral expenses of an Englishman allegedly assaulted in the early hours of New Year’s Day in Ballaghaderreen has raised €9,500 to date.
Jorden Newin (39) passed away in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin after the alleged assault at Barrack Street in the town on January 1st.
A gofundme page, established to help repatriate Mr Newin’s remains to the UK for his funeral, has set a fundraising target of €10,000.
