Will Scahill nailed a dramatic stoppage-time winning point as Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar claimed the Hogan Cup for the first time in the school’s history, defeating Tralee CBS by 3-11 to 1-16.

Will’s father, David Scahill, is a former Castlerea St. Kevin’s footballer and has been part of the Roscommon Masters football team in recent years.

Will scored 1-2, including a third minute goal, to help Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar edge past a Tralee CBS side managed by former All Ireland winning footballer Marc Ó Sé.

St. Faithleach’s Brian Murtagh is part of the Coláiste Mhuire management team.

He has helped the Mullingar based school to this historic All Ireland triumph and to successive Br. Bosco (Leinster Senior A) Cups.
