St. Dominic's GAA Club were represented on the biggest stage of third level camogie.

Kaitlin Egan was part of the UCD squad that took on UCC in the Ashbourne Cup on Sunday last.

Even though the Cork college ended their 23 year wait for Ashbourne success and denied the St. Dominic's clubwoman and her teammates a winner's medal, Egan's exposure to the top level of third level camogie is a boost for camogie within Roscommon.

Two Roscommon players lined out against each other in the Purcell Cup final on Sunday last.

Oran’s Orla Connolly lined out at corner back as UL claimed the Purcell Cup, which is the second most prestigious third level camogie competition, by defeating Queen’s University 2-9 to 1-9.

Connolly played a crucial role in UL’s run to glory as she produced some important interventions last Sunday and in her side’s semi final against Maynooth University.

Meanwhile, Four Roads’ Mairead Lohan lined out at full back for the Queen’s University Belfast side that lost out to UL in that decider.

Four Roads were well represented in the Aisling Murphy Cup final as Sally Bolger, Sinead Mannion and Maria Bolger all lined out for DCU as did Grace Geraghty of Roscommon Gaels. DCU lost out by the narrowest of margins to UU Coleraine, 3-7 to 1-12.

Shauna McDermott of Oran was part of the UL side that lost out to Mary Immaculate College in the Maura McCloy Cup final on Saturday afternoon.

Athleague’s Aideen O'Brien competed in the Uí Mhaolagáin Cup final with Marino Institute of Education who lost to ATU Galway in the decider.

Meanwhile, Liam Gordon, who previously managed the Roscommon junior camogie team and took Athleague to the All Ireland Junior Camogie final in 2023, was a selector for that victorious ATU Galway team.
