South Roscommon native Darragh Murray scored a try on his Six Nations debut to help Ireland beat Scotland and secure the Triple Crown at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Brideswell native came on for Tadhg Beirne during the second half and crossed the whitewash minutes after his introduction to confirm a bonus point fourth try for Andy Farrell’s men.

Murray, who had never scored a try in his 51 appearances for Connacht, made the ultimate impact as Ireland went on to secure a superb 43-21 triumph.

Ireland will win the Six Nations Championship if England can surprise France in Paris later on Saturday evening.
