Local school lose out in All Ireland semi final

The Glenamaddy Community School who were lost out in their Minor B Girls Cup semi final.

A local school have come up just short in their attempts to reach an All Ireland final.

Glenamaddy Community School were defeated 1-0 by St. Peter’s Community School, Passage West in the FAI Schools Minor ‘B’ Girls National Cup Semi Final (Under 15, Small Schools).

Glenamaddy Community School have enjoyed a very successful season having won the Junior ‘B’ Girls National Cup Final (U-17, Small Schools) while they claimed the FAI Schools’ First Year B Girls National Cup title last October.

However, they were undone by Ida Bandas’ 53rd minute goal as St. Peter’s held on to deny Glenamaddy Community School a shot at further silverware.
