Glenamaddy Community School and Castlerea Community School will face off in the John Murphy Senior B Connacht Cup final.

Two local schools are set to face off in the John Murphy  Senior B (U-19 Small Schools) Connacht Cup final this Saturday.

Castlerea Community School and Glenamaddy Community School will lock horns this Saturday in Boyle with the winner aiming to secure provincial glory.

Castlerea Community School secured their passage to the final on Thursday as they came through a thrilling semi final with St. Tiernan’s College, Crossmolina. The sides drew 3-3 after extra time with Castlerea Community School prevailing 4-1 in a penalty shootout.

The two local schools will face off this Saturday at 12 p.m. with the winner meeting St. Peter’s Community School, Passage West next Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the All Ireland semi final.
