A County Roscommon native is set to line out for Drogheda United in this Sunday's FAI Cup Final in the Aviva Stadium against Derry City FC.

Former Boyle Celtic player James Bolger played in Drogheda's dramatic 3-2 victory over Wexford in the semi-final. Adam Foley's late-winner sent the Louth side through to their first cup final in 11 years.

Son of Catherine and Francis Bolger, the Corrigeenroe native signed for Drogheda from Swedish side Bodens BK at the start of the season.

He is also a nephew of Peter Bolger who managed the North Roscommon team in this year's senior football championship.

Bolger has been a key player in Drogheda's cup run, starting four times at centre-back, and even chipping in with a goal and an assist.
