A contractor is being sought to build a new indoor horse arena near Boyle.
In a tender advertised at the end of last month, the applicant invited quotes for works associated with the proposed new arena at Rushfield Stables in Tullyvohaun, Boyle.
The project, which was granted planning permission in August 2020, will consist of the construction of an indoor horse training arena with balcony at one end along with a horse walker.
Planning was also approved at the time for an outdoor horse training arena and ancillary floodlighting.
The time-limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate ended yesterday (Monday) and the tender documents noted that the contract is subject to funding.
In tandem with the arena project, Roscommon County Council also granted planning in 2020 for the conversion of an old two storey coach house from farm buildings into living accommodation.
