Man critically injured in Ballaghaderreen passes away

A man critically injured in Ballaghaderreen in the early hours of Thursday morning last has passed away at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin. 

A man aged in his 40s  arrested in connection with the investigation has been charged. He is due to appear before Roscommon District Court this morning Sunday,  January 4th at 10 a.m..

Gardaí said this morning that they continue "to investigate the serious assault that occurred in Ballaghaderreen in the early hours of Thursday morning January, 1st. The man, aged in his 30s, that was brought to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin with critical injuries has since passed away."
