Plans have been lodged with Roscommon County Council to convert an existing restaurant in Roscommon Town into living accommodation.

The applicant is seeking planning permission to convert the restaurant on the first floor of the Stonecourt Complex on The Square into apartments.

The plans involve the provision of two one bedroomed apartments and a one bedroomed studio at the complex, which is a protected structure.

County planners are due to make a decision on the development by February 13th.
