Boyle’s Daire Cregg has been named on the GAA.ie Team of the Week following his strong showing in Roscommon’s defeat to Kerry.

Cregg kicked nine points, including an effort from outside the arc, as Roscommon produced a defiant display before losing out by the narrowest of margins in Fitzgerald Stadium on Sunday last.

He also saw a goal effort saved by Shane Murphy before Diarmuid Murtagh palmed to the net in what was a very promising display from Cregg.

Cregg was named in the GAA.ie Team of the Week at centre forward.

Kerry attackers David Clifford and Tomás Kennedy were also recognised, with the latter nominated for Player of the Week following his dramatic late score that ensured Roscommon were left empty handed despite a brave showing.
